The Office of Registrar of Insurance and Retirement Funds (RIRF) reaffirms that as of the 12^th October 2011 we advised all insurers, clients of Pathu Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd and the general public that Pathu Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd license was revoked in terms of section 18 of the Act effective from 31 July 2011, for having failed to comply with the Insurance Act, 2005. One of the directors of the company, Mr. Thulani Nkambule has also been debarred from applying for a new license for a period of 5 years. In terms of section 116 of the Insurance Act 2005, the Registrars decision has been made an Order of Court.

The insurance industry and public are advised to cease any dealings with Pathu Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd or Mr. Thulani Nkambule with immediate effect, this includes any current dealings and all retrospective agreements with the aforementioned person or entity as he is not a fit and proper person to transact in the insurance and retirement funds industry. Clients of Pathu Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd are advised to deal with the insurers directly.
